Originally a feature the old school dub boys used to pose with after driving their show cars to and from shows. Decided they looked good and emphasised the fact they were mint show cars so left them on for the shows.
They look gash on some cars but can look very good on others

What happened?
grit gets under the bra and scratches the bodywork

And a mk2 saxo with a bra on

originally designed for porsches iirc, they protect the front of the car against chips, but tbh mine scratchd my bonnet to bits due to the felt holding grit really well even after washing, the bra will move when travelling and then move back when slowing down therefore inducing scratches, if you get one id seriousyl put a film on first at least

its a dub thing, and it should have stayed that way imo.
no offence to people with them, but i think they look really stupid! It looks really out of place!
And the 2 bits that stick up to stop it flapping around look like handles on the bonnet or wheel chocks for a 747. :homme:

To a certain extent IO agree with you, however on the right car they look so at home. Take the silver VTR above, it's a mint standard car with a purposeful bonnet bra, not a wannabe euro car

well for looks yes but like a say, going back a while now it was originally on porsches
yep liek you said the two stick up bits the wind catches onto and holds it onto the car better

like everything though, done properly it can look good.
i would never do it personally because i think they look silly, however done tastefully it can look good, still not to my own taste but i can appreciate it. if you get where i'm coming from :geek:
as said above, from pictures i've seen they seem to suit the phase 1's better.
on the phase 2's they seem to look better on the dark colours, navy and black.
pred_vtr, your car looks far better without the bra :y:
