As some of you will know, I am planning to launch a range of Saxperience merchandise.

Some items have already been ordered.

The next thing I'd like to work on is the 'Saxperience Mug'

Whether you think this is cool or not, I have decided to go ahead with this idea. So... now's the time for you to have some input into the design.

Full colour printing is possible, but the results dont look amazing and in my opinion often the designs can look a little tacky.

So, I've decided to go with simple colour printing using 1, 2 or 3 colours.

One of my favourite mugs (for the last couple of years) is the Starbucks mug! Simple, but effective!

I think your right to keep the design simple, otherwise it would just look tacky. Maybe just the Sax-P oval design in blue (or pink for the ladies smileys/smiley17.gif)

i think it would be cool to be along the lines of the mug in the picture but saying like simo's saxperience on the top half of the circle and sax-p.com on the bottom with our user names just underneath

edit: oh but hang on it would prob cost more to have our user names as they would all have to be done seperate so maybe just the circle idea

one of the heat changing mugs would be cool as fuck, sax-p blue when cold with sax-p logo in the middle, then changing to white when filled with brewsmileys/smiley4.gif

Yes, input open... I want to finalise the design and submit for approval on Monday of next week.

Remember, the print area on the mug will be a rectangle... which will essentially wrap around the outside of the cup. Soo the design needs to include that... of just have a token image in the centre of the area.

I will do some designs later for comment.

those two are very good. simple and using up to date designs. The oval sticker is old i'm told, but the saxp rectangel on there would be just superb

maybe add the slogan beneath it.

i like most the designs.

Simo' have you asked about getting the polystyrene boxes for them to
post them in? They are awsome i've posted a few mugs in them in the
past with no problems!

When are you going into the factory? I need to call in myself and order
some other mugs.

Think keep it simple with the above design on one side then a photo of
simo's car if possible on the other side. Don't know if it is possible with
only being able to use block colours smileys/smiley2.gif

They usually send them out in a box that hols about 20 or so mugs. You
can get these cool polystyrene things that are very strong. I sent a mug
in one to Australia and America and they got there fine. I also dropped
one on the floor and it didnt smash!! Bonus. Costs around £1.50 to post
if i remember correctly.

Looking forward to see the designs simo'!!

OK peeps... Im too tired to do this properly, but this has made me think a bit more about the setup of the mug.

I dont think any of these designs are what Im after, but hopefully they give you more food for thought??

Im not sure the right effect is achieved with a central image, which wraps around. It may be better to treat the mug as two different halves... as you only usually see one side of the mug at a time... so need to see the full logo on each side??

The first one was the design I was working on, till i thought it might not look right stretched around the mug...

I would go for the 1st one as a wrap around the mug.

i was thinking a class new funky logo as well but that is alot of work but i think it would be nice to have some sort of sax-p identification like some graphic or something?

Personally i have two opinions, sticking with an 'old' design will be great because decals are already out there using the same design.

However a brand new design would be great. And Aaron id you forgot about the saxtreme bit, that first design looks great.

Thats a good effort David!

I think the important thing we need to decide, is do we let the main image wrap around the mug... or have a graphic for each side... so you can see it all at once, like in your design!

I think a design like the one I did is a better one as you can actually see the logo! If you wrap it around you would have to see the whole mug to be able to tell what it is!

right. heres a few that i have come up with. my photoshop wasn't working so had to use paint, thats why theres a white block where the logos/writing have been added. BUT it does give the general impression

If the design is decided and enough interest is shown, then there should be no problem before xmas!

I have to order a minimum of 108 cups though, which won tbe cheap!

Over time, im sure... but what Im saying is that I dont think I will sell over 100 pink mugs smileys/smiley24.gif

DOnt get me wrong... a design incorporating pink would be cool, but the launch of the range is not the right time to be experimenting with colours.

OK, an update on the mug design.

Whatever deign is decided upon MUST include the following "www.Saxperience.com" and "Saxperience"

The rest is flexible.

Lots of options have been banded around, but we really need to decide upon something... else Im going to have to make an executive decision smileys/smiley17.gif

We've decided the image/logo should be in full view when viewing the cup from side on. But should the design on each side of the cup be the same, or different?

I still dont think Ive seen a design im totally happy with, but here's another mock up to see if any more ideas spring to mind!
