Hi,
My wife has a 1997 Mk1 VTR in Posiedon Blue, she has owned the car since new,80,000 miles. The passenger side external doortrim/bump strip is comming off I have had a look and its not just the fastening clips that are broken, the metal brakets to which the clips are fixed have come away from the trim. Has anyone any experience of fixing the brackets back to the trim, they must be glued/heat welded during manafacture. If this is not viable any ideas about fixing the trim back without removal Ive read a lot about Tiger seal but cant see how this will work as the bump strip is a large void?

Or has anyone got a trim in the North yorks area??

thanks Soapy

you can just expoxy resin the clips back on mate, dries quicker than tiger seal and grips plastic nicely

You need to carefully pries them off, note they are also fixed with tigerseal glue stuff so can be quite hard to get them off.
