iv got a standard saxo vtr 52 plate and get it fully serviced every year.

for some reason when i come to a stop (ie waiting at traffic light or parking) the engine dosnt ideal properly it drops until it almost stalls then revs up again and dose this a couple of time before idealing normaly. the wierd thing is it dosnt always do it, just when it wants to it seems (car is perssesed or somthing lol):S

mine does this too, does it when you tap accelerator pedal. Just rev it slightly and it stops.

Sounds more like the coolant sensor to me. it's temperature dependant, so it doesn't do it all the time.
