How many hours roughly do u think u need before taking ur test ?

Thinking about getting lessons, but where i have not got regular money coming in need to no how much i will have to save ????

Depends on how much practice you have within the car.

The best thing to do, which is what I am doing is to get your dad or a friend to teach you.

Then get 5-10 lessons when you think you're ready just to make sure and to perfect your skills.

we knock it on the ed as it was hard work, as he didnt really no how to explain things probably.

to be honest...its all down to the driver! wouldn't rush it though just for sake of it...i would take your time. only reason i needed hardly any lessons was because i have had the benefit of being able to drive from a really young age!

i had 8 lessons and went out driving every night with my old man. only used the lessons to make sure i was doing the correct things in manoevoures

It took me 3 and a half months to pass my test! I had about 20 lessons and was out most nights in my saxo driving with my mum. passed first time smileys/smiley17.gif

i have had 3 lessons so far not able 2 practis out of lessons @ the moment smileys/smiley13.gif but i no it would help me loads as only having 1 lesson a week is making me a bit forgetful by the time my next lesson comes around

started in May 2004 and passed my test in feb 2005, i a DODGY intense driving course , 5 hours a day for a week, and i diddent get a fuckin test! 600quid down... then about 18 lessons . passed on my second go with 3 minors.
just remember - Mirrors, Signal, Manouver!

It depends on the individual. There is no average. Some people take longer than others. I myself had 16 lessons, took my test and passed first time.

But, in my opinion, the tests now are a little bit harder. But, practice makes perfect. But then again, there is never a 'perfect' driver. If your instructor thinks you are ready, then they will book you in.

i took 3 months. so about 20 hours and i never drove ith my parents - they didnt want me getin habits lol

ummm I am a good driver honestly, I took around 60 lessons and 5 tests smileys/smiley5.gif so as said it's all down to the individual, my advice is don't let your nerves get the better of you in the testsmileys/smiley2.gif

i had eleven lessons and passed,used to drive about by myself in the yard my dad had at his factory, had a private road leading up to it also so i practised 3 point turns and and reversing round a corner, practised parrellel parking with cones

i think that i am a really good driver but i practised alot

then my mate he is also a really good driver but he had alot of lessons and a few tests, he used to get nervous so fucked up some of his tests

so it jus depends on wen u can get into a car, if u can jus go out and just practise manouvers cos they are the mains ones that ur gona get minors on ur test

i never got any minors for manouvers on my test, and i only got 2 in my test
