and are gmax any good

gmax are budget and saying they are average is an overstatement in my opinion, depends if your just going to lower it for looks? As you havent spec'ed any shocks to go with the springs i thought you might be just buying them on their own.

Dont go more than 40mm on springs only unless you love a BUMPY ride.

You would be better off looking at Apex springs.

Go for them then mate, they will be better than gmax. At 50mm you should really be thinking about uprating shocks sooner or later. If your standard units are already quite racked up in terms of mileage then you might find they wear even quicker anyway and need replacing.

If you can afford it, look at the 50mm apex kit from kam racing, comes with shocks and springs (-50mm) and is £207 inc vat. Cant say fairer than that and it will sort your handling out alot better than just a set of springs on high mileage OEM shocks.

Those are the Bilstein OEM standard replacement shock absorbers mate.

Indeed good if you just wanted to replace your standard shocks like for like. It does say on that auction that they are uprated by 20% which i find hard to believe as they would be OEM spec and the guys at Bilstein being no idiot's would have spec'ed them to work with the standard rate springs i would have thought as they are designed as OEM replacements. Perhaps they are advertising them as 20% uprated in order to sell them. That auction is also for only 2 front shocks and you would need 4 as the rears would want doing too.

You would be better off looking at the apex kit off kamracing for £207 you get to go 50mm lower and get FOUR ACTUAL UPRATED shocks to fit too.

Well if you got £60 for those shocks already and £35 for those springs, call it a hundred, your only another hundred off it arent you my man.

If you save and go for the apex kit i promise you that you wont regret it over buying new oem spec stuff.
