Hi, Got myself a Saxo About 4 weeks ago Now and im Becoming Very Concearned Loads of Little faults Im Finding If Any 1 Could Help With And Any Solutions Would Be Very Greatfull!!
-Gearstick When in gear Drives fine But is very wobbly Probably about 1" Or so of Travel from side to Side?
-None of the Body Kit Panels you only get on a VTR-VTS Seam to fit Corectly!
-When Braking It feels like Gringing Through My feat- I Have had this looked at and the front pads are just b4 there limit so changing them!
-Front Ball joint on Suspension/axel not 100% this is where it is!Joint is split is this replaceable or will i need a whole new 1?
-Rear Bumper As you get to the bottom of the boot that opens theres like a ledge thats black on non mod vtr/vts then it curves over and colour coded from there this ledge is ripled, when i rub my hand from 1 side to other it goes up and Down all the way along
-I Got this car because of the low mileage but im getting very convinced its not genuine now, If i get a diagnostics check on it will this give me the correct millage for the car? If so How much does it cost And does It have to be done by Citreon?
Lastly If anybody who knows there stuff in the shropshire area would like to give it a good once over would be very greatfull And obviously Pay!
Hope you can help!! Very Greatfull Matt

A loose gearsticks normal mate and not a problem its the gear rod ends wearing down, but if it really annoys you you can get uprated gear rods for around 40 pounds which remove the loose feel.

The panels not fitting correctly isnt right, unless its been in a crash or its been bodged they should fit on perfectly, get some pics up

Third one as you say just need new pads wouldnt be dif on any other car

I think you mean the CV joint on the driveshaft? They can be replaced but its usually better to replace the entire driveshaf for about 100 quid fitted as the new boots often pop

Gearstick movement could be a loose linkage. Worth checking them when you're under the car.

If the body panels are gaping, it's most likely down to broken panel clips. New clips can be had for next to nothing from Citroen.

Ball joints are on the wishbones - they are around £11 each but need pressing in at a garage etc.
