I have a small crack in my passenger rear side arch and wondered if i would get away fixing it myself with it being a small area?heres a picture anyway:

drill a small hole at the end of the crack to stop it spreading sand it down fibre glass it and prep then paint :)

ok i might attempt it at weekend if i can lend someones garage.should i put fiberglass behind it or just filler on front?

u want to remove your arch, scuff the back with 80 grit paper, fiberglass resin and sheet the back,
let it dry, put the arch back on carefully, sand a slight ditch shape on the front of the crack and fiberglass the front ,
then primer and spray. OR get a soldering iron, remove the arch, plastic weld the rear of the arch, put arch back on carefully,
plastic weld the front, sand it down, fill it, prime it and spray it.

im a sprayer in a bodyshop n thats how i would do it however the arch will never be as strong as it was.
(You could just change the panel but if u cant get hold of 1 the same colour as ur car and you
spray the new panel the colour might be slightley off to your qtr) :y:

cheers mate,well i got a soldering iron so maybe thats the best way,il try it and see outcome otherwise i will get bodyshop to do it.thanks for help though :y:
