anyone ever drove a integra type-r

right i was talking to someone the other day and he was ranting and raving that it is by far the best car he has owned and that he is buying a new shape one soon. i really like these cars and are a posability for my next car, but i want to no if any of you people have drove one and what are your opinons?

Ive had a shot in my mates on the strip at Crail a couple of times, have to say - i was impressed! Make a gorgeous noise when you put the pedal to the floor!

well the lad a was talking to has had 2 of them, he said that it was faster than his civic type-r and it used to piss all over scoobys round the bends. i love the look of them and i went in a civic type-r last week so if its as good as one of them then i deffo want one. smileys/smiley17.gif also they top out at nearly 10000rpm smileys/smiley3.gif

they are as fast ctrs (not faster)just alot rarer

imo opinion my saxo handles better down country lanes/tight twisty roads the teg was awesome on rounderabouts!! although on real corners i found it had to much front end grip ie over steer! which is what caused the death of mine (late wet night bang write off!!)smileys/smiley19.gif smileys/smiley19.gif smileys/smiley19.gif

i also think a cam'd and mapped vts will be as quick.

build qaulity is unrivaled imo
and they are one of the most comfy sports cars you will drive!!
they can be thirsty tho,
and check it does not burn excesive amounts of oil!!
insurance is high to!!
mine used burn quite a bit!
clucthes go at 60k
chech sincros on gears 5th gear was goin on mine

my cars was 98 s reg uk car with 64k on

there was a few at york raceway last week a jdm ran 14.9 and the uk itr was doin 15.5's

my vts ran 15.2!!!!

Theres a video on cliosport of an integra with just an exhaust and de-cat and a spoon ecu racing the new clio 3.0 v6 down a dual carriage way up to about 150mph! Its totally neck and neck all the way until the clio backs off at about 150+ smileys/smiley2.gif It also races and pisses all over a focus RS. I do love them itr`s smileys/smiley14.gif

paul thats one lovely teg, what mods does your sax have as i would also consider a modded vts with full exhaust with manifold, cams and a re-map.

i also have some cat 708s sat waiting to go in it.

yeh i was happy with the time as i beating stripped out vts's etc.

i love the integra type R, looked at getting one a few years back but the insurance was sky high, i like the accord type R too! the guy in my street has a red 1, 2.2vtec with full system, filter, ecu upgrade and a super charger!!!! its fairly quick smileys/smiley2.gif smileys/smiley17.gif . he does have his own honda tuning company tho.
