footwell neons problem

trying to install these into the cig lighter. saw an awesome diagram but my wiring is different. still have three wires bit mine are, grey, yellow and brown and also instead of being in one plug like the diagram says there is one plug with yellow and grey wire and another thing plug with the brown wire. how do i wire my neons into this?????

personally i would wire it up to the head unit loom and use the remote cable for the head unit so that they only come on when you switch the ignition on easiest way in my opinion

will the remote wire be able to power them??

Use a relay mate. Wire a positive feed from the battery to the relay. Then a cable from the rem on the h/u to turn the relay on. power from relay to the neons. earth from relay to chasis. easy peasy.

dont really fancy getting a wire from the battery, if i need to i can but just as easy to get a live feed from inside the car isnt it?? just means i have to find a live feed lol

can you not wire them off of the sidelights so that they only come on when the lights are on?

no point in them being on im daylight when you cant see them is there?

did u wire a switch into the positive line? what colour wires did you use, as mine are the same colour and woud be handy to know whats what lol

If they are off the cig lighter then they will be fused anyway?

ehm u guessed wich wires ?? if u swith 2 wire , youre neon will get overheated and will start to melt my friend.. so watch out what youre doing ...

You should wire it up the same as the overhead light, so you have a three pin switch that switches between on/ off/ on when you open the doors. That would be cool.

they look mint mate. all i did was by a pair of dual 12" cold cathode neons off ebuyer.com..... 8 quid all together and look fcuking mint!!!!!!!!!!!
