I have just fitted some 16s on my saxo, thats been lowered 60mm, they have 195/45/16 toyos on at the mo. they are only just catching, mainly on the rear drivers side. slighty rubbing on the rear arch liner and a piece of metal that sticks out vetically is behind the plastic, sitting there ready to slice threw my tyre! LOL do you need to remove the liners at the rear and grind the metal back??
im going to get 40 profile tyres but the ones i have at the mo are in mint nick smileys/smiley9.gif

all ive done is take out all the liners at the front and they are ok. apart from the slight rubbing at the rear.
so you had to take the rear liners out and grind back the sticky out metal thing?? is that it?

i have ground that bit of metal back and removed the liners, i also slapped a load of sealer on the inside of the arches. when i removed the liners front and rear, the plstic clips took a lot of metal away with them as it was rusty as hell smileys/smiley5.gif smileys/smiley5.gif
i doubt i will be able to have peeps in the back, but i will fit 40 profiles when the tyres need changing next smileys/smiley2.gif

sorted the problem now, just ground everything back as far as possible, took it out for a spin on a really bumpy road next to mine, was scrubbing before doing 45mph. took her up to 80mph and she was bouncing, but no scrubbing smileys/smiley2.gif smileys/smiley17.gif smileys/smiley4.gif not sure what she will be liuke with peeps in the back smileys/smiley5.gif
