Disconnected battery and now the car won't turn over?

Hey, i disconnected the battery as it went flat, charged it over night, put it back on, now the electrics work, but engine management light comes on and when I turn the car over the electrics cut out. Does it need jump starting? Thanks

Have you tried another battery? as it most proberly still is the battery.

Not tried another one yet, but this battery is minging so i'll try another. Thanks

Sometimes it can simply be a bad connection on the battery.

what about the fuel cut- off switch in the engine bay? its a red circle thing at the top right. may just need pressed
