Only Cat C shows on a V5 log book, because the car needs a VIC (vehicle identity check) to regain use on the road
Cat D cars only require a new MOT after repair so this does not show on a V5, although it will most likely show on a HPI check

i think cat d covers in example body damage over the cars value if we say for panels that will cost more to replace than the car not 100% though and cat c and so on is like structural

And if your car is worth £20k then it is worth it.
Even on your Saxo it maybe worth it.
