just bought a pre lowered vts/gti alxe off ebay (as mine was seized and brake bleed things broke off earlier)

need some help wit the things to do to change it

got a vtr mk1 at mo
getting vts/gti 2002

was speaking to someone and they said only 4 bolts, 2under seat then 2else where but forgot where?

and how do you remove the handbrake cable?

and the brake lines?

as quite compent at working on cars just wanting to take old one off ready for new one to get delivered and wana make it easy lol

hi m8 the 4 bolts u need to undo are 2 in the boot area n 2 where back seats are undo brake pipes using brake spanners.. leave the wheels on the axle as its easier to lower down then roll out that way.. as for handbrake cable need to undo exhaust heatshield under car loosen them off then undo the cables.. the brake pipes are also attached to the car behind the axle so they'll need to be unclipped.. remember ull have to bleed the brakes up afterwards :y: if u need anymore help n i can be of assistance jus pm me m8 :y:

also think two of the bolts are covered by rubber/plastic grommets that just lift/flick up to reveal bolts :y:

you will need an 18mm deep socket

you can leave brakes attached to car and still remove the beam.
