Struts are the same on a VTS anyway so theres no point changing them. The rear axle is a straight swap, only thing that might need attention are the brake lines as they may need flaring to fit but often do not. Its a very simple job but a two man one as the axles rather heavy.
Doesnt matter what phase axle you get either or whether its from a VTR or VTS. If you get one off a 106 GTi though they have an uprated anti roll bar as standard.

I'm also wanting to put a VTS rear beam onto my Westcoast, how much would a garage charge to swap it over do you think?
