Mk2 Saxo VTR - Small update [Archive] - Saxperience

Alrite all!! Im new here finaly joined the saxo crowd. After looking around for a Saxo for about a year (Im very very picky) I stumbled upon this little baby in Nov 08 and snapped her up. Shes a silver Mk2 Vtr, 38K, standard apart from those STUPID wolfrace alloys with monster truck tyres so its riding rather high and a piper outwardly rolled 4’ backbox, both of these will be removed.

My Plans for her as followed

Lowered 50mm all around (although people keep telling me 2 go 40/60 any reason y? performance n looks?)

15-inch alloys with 45 rubber (either black pro 1.2s or……..ideas?)

Full zhaust system, duno brand yet

ICE (In progress at the mo)

and many more bits n bobs im sure :y:

Looks like a clean example.

I agree with you those wheels are gash! What about vts wheels or are you after something different?

Lol ino wish i had the vtr ones!! I fort vts wheels n spray them black or white but everyone seems to have them on here n wanna be bit different...but if any sellin some i may be interested

once i get my full system on in next couple of months it wont be no use 2 me so cn have it for 20-30 quid, i aint got the receipt for it but dnt fink its that old plus fink they like 100-120 bills new? unless if u got a standard vtr or vts backbox thats in gd nick il do straight swap :y:

UPDATE: Just orderd....

Kenwood KDC-W6541U Head unit

In Phase IPA1041 1000 Watts 4 Channel Amplifier

In Phase IP81 1800W 4 Channel Amplifier Fitting Kit

and ino i mite tickle few people nw cus im umming n rr'ing myself but i got them FREE...just remember that before u read on.....

I got some In Phase XT693 400 Watts 3-way 6x9.........yes 6x9s ino there the devil but only gena have them intill i save up n get some new front speakers n a sub!! plus i got 2 parcels shelfs anyway so can wreck one, n like i said there free so mite aswell put them 2 use ay :wink:

Finally have got some new wheels to replace the gash i have got on at the moment. i now own some vts wheels which i got off JayWard off this site :y:

Bit off a problem tho the car garge that sold me the car didnt give the right locking wheel nut for the ones on ma car :wall: so now gotta pay to have them broke off and then buy some new locking wheel nuts :n: owell anyway ill clean them l8r then ill get some pics up and should have them on by tuesdays

Hurry up and get them locking wheel nuts off :P cant wait to see them on the car mate, as mentioned make sure you sort all the pressures out as let them down and give them a good clean!

well i dont see the point in lying tbh if you put the one on the back as said i didnt have any problems! they look really nice when they are clean and polished up, especially in the sun! keep me informed :)

mate im glad you are keeping them white! think they look really good! ;) what were the pressures like? you put the one on the back? as said once lowered will look sweet! cantg wait to see more updates

cheers for the comments people, ye i put it on the back, i fill the pressure 2 bout 32 but with the buckle it settles at about 20, its drivable n with it at the back dont fink it will b massive problem will it? but gena get it fixed! do u rekon i cud get the buckle repaired?? n does anyone no places that do it, or if anyone wants 2 sell my a right side vts alloy let me know!

Anyway more importantly, the next thing on my list is to get it lowered but im unsure how low n stuff, got few ideas in my head.........finkin about either 40/40 or 50/50 but sayin that ive seem some people jus have it 40 at the front n looks gd 2 b honest anydun this n got any pics???????????

also could some chop my car lowered as the amounts above plz :y: :y:

settles at 20, you mean its losing pressure? erm not too sure if it can be knocked out or anything tbh but could get it sealed, i only lost a couple of psi now n then but just put it down to normal tbh

cant wait to see it lowered on them, will finish it off nicely :)

yeh i fill it 2 about 32 psi then ive checked it a day l8r and it on 20, dosent seem to be dropping further than that tho, wots getting it sealed? do most wheel and tyre places do that?

yeh niether can i lol, wots urs dropped agen? 40 at the front and one notch at the bk? is one notch about a 30mm drop? i wana get a nose down stance :y:

im afraid i aint got the piper one no more it had i hole in just b4 the box on the pipe and it was bollowing like a bitch so i swapped it with the equivalent peco box with my m8 cus hes gena fix it up for himself, i wernt to bovard cus getting a full system anyway soon, tbh tho ben they sound exactly the same and fink the peco ones cheaper init, so i would recomend one of them :y: i would swap u this one but im quite liking the sound now lol

yeah 40mm and 1 notch mate, yeah i used to work at national tyres until about 4 weeks ago and there is something called bead sealer, like a black sealent that goes round the edge of the rim before the tyre is put on when they are leaking from the rim, really good stuff and works a treat ;)

allgd then il have 2 take a trip down 2 my local national tyres and see wot there sayin :y:

but got few other problems with my baby, badly in need of service and got a nasty squeek comming from the front right corner, fink the wheel bearings going, also my instrument panel has completely died :n: so gotta sort that out........................this cud get expensive lol owell one get it all sorted out little things anoy me lol

Well just got my car bk from the garage with a nice £320 bill :( had a full service, brake fluid change, new brake discs and pads, strip clean and greased front brakes and had the brake sensing valve free'd up!

Also they didnt have time to look at the instrument panel so genna take that back in next week but before i do does anyone now the solution to the problem......all my guages have stopped working? O and my mani got a crack in it so thats gotta be replaced :( i got warrenty aswell and they wont cover any of it wankers, waste of money that was!! wot a shit day:n:

sorry to hear all that mate, least itll all be good now though, sounds quite alot though really, mind you i would say that cuz i used to be in the trade so prob would seem alot to me as i know what bits cost etc

alrite guys not posted on here for a long time so thort i would give everyone a update, nothing major at all rely just added a green airfilter, nice noise n and must be louder than i thort it would because turns alot of heads! thats it lol o and been keeping her clean lol Not done alot because getting abit bored with it so will be selling soon and getting something with alot more grunt and abit more potential ;) Anyway heres some pics, phone pics sorry!! oooooo and by the way thinking about selling the vts alloy if anyone interest or swap for vtr alloys ..........or something black lol
