was going to make a thread up earlier when i got home but didnt get round to it.
this afternoon i was driving down this dual cariageway near where i live to a local town. was pissing down with rain so road conditions wernt the best.
i was in the fast lane doing no more than 65 stuck behind a lorry minding my own business, when all of a sudden to my right, i see this new mondeo slam right in to the centre barriers on the opposite side, followed by a porsche carrera 4. they must have both been going about 70 by the looks of it. it sent bits flying on to my side, hitting my car and this other blokes car. we had all slowed right down by this point and me and this other bloke car pulled into this layby on our side that was about 100 yards further on. i was just thinking i hope these people are alright, it looked proper nasty.
we both got out and looked up at the scene and all the people had got out (thankfully) and started talking on their phones. didnt get any pics as was pissing down and were quite far away by this point. Me and this other bloke were considering staying as witnesses, but we didnt really see what caused it, plus loads pf people had stopped on the other side. so drove off and it was all on the radio and the road was all blocked for a while!
sorry for the essay, ive just never witnessed a high speed crash like that and had bits hit my car! (luckily no damage to mine).
anyone else seen something like this or been in a motorway accident?

Witnessed one after I had been driving in my own car for a month, on the way back from heathrow on an M road heading north, i was in the first lane when a car in the 2nd overtaking lane flew into the air and came back down on it's side, another two cars collided.
It was a white 306 that had collided with the barriers, it had then came down and damaged a VW Bora, the two cars behind were minorly damage.... tailgaiting syndrome.
Anyway we were praying everyone was alright as it was awful despite only seeing a glimpse of what was nearly a fatal crash. All the cars had stopped... 2 fire engines, 2 ambulances and several police later the traffic moves forwards into one lane... this was about 3am..
As we went past my mate shouted (almost girlishly) as a girl was trapped in the upturned 306... there was alot of fluid.. most likely rad and brake fluid but it led him to believe (in his tiredness) that it was blood... :homme:
Put me on edge the entire journey home. :n:

a21 is very common for standing water and accidents.
especially up the hill on the a21 where they widened it which bypasses going up the twisty hikk off moorleys roundabout.

I live on a big main road and have seen a few crashes there, but one of the worst i have seen was last month.
Basicaly a moron Taxi driver pulled rite out onto the main road infront of an old Punto, which smashed into the front side of the Taxi, span round and the Doors poped open and the driver was half hanging out of the car...
