Saxo not starting

Hey
Just got a Saxo of a friend. Love it :cool:
Only 1 problem. If I try to start the engine is just not turning over completely.
It almost sounds as if there is not enough juice to turn the engine over, coming from either the battery or the starter motor.
Battery on charge as we speak(type) :)

I have tried to jump start without much luck.
Will wait till battery is fully charged before playing around with it again

can you hear the fuel pump ?? if you cant try the big red button under the bonnet push it down its on the right hand side nar the bonnet stay holder on the top on the innerwing
