Central locking

I posted a request in the newbies forum but was also told to try here. I can,t find the central locking control unit in my Y reg 2001 5door automatic. According to Haynes it should be just above the pedals or in rthe 3 door behind the glove box. I have practically ripped out the dash trying to find it. The locking was working fine until a recent visit to the local Citroen garage to solve an engine management problem( they are accepting no responsibility for it no longer working stating it probably was faulty before it went in). Can anyone help? Has anyone experianced this problem? Help Any suggestions gratefully received. Frustrated autosaxo

ive got a 2001 saxo and my central locking unit was behind the glove box in the passenger footwell, all i can say soz

Haynes reckoned they couldn,t remove the glove box but I did. Unfortunately no control unit. Anyway thanks for trying autosax
