wat do you fink 3.5"???

355858
11th February 2009, 23:02
i've got a 3.5 on my saxo and its ideal, mines an oval one not round, round produces a louder sound i think so prob best go for that, i think over 3.5 will get annoying after a while if you a lot of motorway driving.

ive got a 4" straight cut peco backbox and i quite like the look and sound of it. some peolple well most dont like the jap can look and i see why becuase its a bit chavvy and out of place but i think it looks quite decent
mines stainless steel so no chance of it rusting
Peco is known to be one of the loudest in the market along with cherrybomb exhausts etc.
being just a backbox mine always has a nice rumble/burble and spits and pops the odd times, people always here me coming, not stupidly loud tho. when hitting about 3000revs on the motorway / or just not going to a higher gear its at its loudest and is pretty dam loud tbh lol (sounds sweet)

generally the bigger the exit the louder , but not always.
magnex is known to be too quiet pretty much standard sounding with the backbox alone.
With a peco and decat pipe, i think it would be tooo loud , i had to sound deaden my boot to muffle the sound out a bit as the pasengers on the motorway hate me lol
--essay--

btw peco are out of business now so a little harder to buy new these days

people slate peco when they dont really know what there talking about, they just follow what one person thinks. I have had a few peco exhausts and i can tell you now they ARE NOT BAD as people make out, they are a very good performance exhaust make. reccomend tehm. But my weapon of choise now has to be sportex ftw ;)

I put a peco exhaust on old westcoast after having a viper exhaust on there and i didnt think that it was all that bad. If i wanted to spend a little bit more money getting a better performance exhaust though i would of got a magnex :)

i have a powerflow exhaust (cat back) and it does exactly that.

on idle its a deep sound and when you floor it, it becomes very loud (maybe abit too loud tbh)

They are THESE (http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/CITROEN-SAXO-CLEAR-STYLE-REAR-LIGHTS-1996_W0QQitemZ260195083756QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_Ca rsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM?hash=item260195083756&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=72%3A1683|66%3A2|65%3A12|39%3A1|240%3A13 18) lights, with the bottom half tinted red.

If you wer going to get some make sure you get some silvertec rear indicator bulbs also to keep the top bit clear.
