Local car paint shop would be cheaper, but halfords should do it providing you give them a paint code. When a manufacture discontinues a paint, they no longer produce or mix it so you have to go to a paint shop to get it mixed.

I thought Halfords paint match ups were shabby?

halfords paints are ok aslong as the person who does it for you has been trained to do it. if not u have no hope.

Normally are, thats why i said local paint shop as they have much more resources + knowledge.

Ive seen halfrauds colour matches, even if they are trained the paint matches are crap tbh
no person can get an exact match tbh, car has to be fully resprayed for it to be a perfect paint job
I got mine from a1autowise, gave them my colour code and can was sent out to me withing 3 days
Heres the grill i did with the paint, tbh very very good match imo

Well said, i was going to say that next, for even better resutls it would be easyer to get a bodyshop to do it instead of spray cans, still wont be a 100% match as its fresh paint, can normally blend it well with a machine polish a month later when the paint has hardend.

Well i did that myself with a spray can but on bigger panles then a bodyshop booth is the way for a perfect finish, rattle cans are crap on big panels if your not good with them use less paint in a air fed gun too ;)

People think u get a can of pure paint, when in fact a percentage of the can is thinners.
What is it your actually painting.
