Depends how much it is lowered matey. If 40mm plus then yeah work will be needed to get them to fit but it wont be hard. 40 profiles will be better as no work at all is needed. smileys/smiley2.gif

When I had mine at standard height on the 16/45 profs, it rubbed even then. Now its lowered 40mm with sufficient archwork and its now fine.

and my turbo is on the same size wheels. I've done a bit of arch bashing myself, but it could do with some more, as it slightly catches still.

yep, mine scrubbed on std height on the 45 profile tyres when cornering and with a load.
Perfect now though.
I recommend going for a full suspension setup, as opposed to just upgrading springs.
If your going justsprings, makes such as Pi seem to be good quality and good value for money (the ones I have on my silver one)
I've got shocks and springs setup on the turbo. Spax PSX krypton filled shocks, with springs to match.
Go 40mm, its the best optimum height drop. Great handling and looks wise.

will it rub when it has been lowered,, and with the standard height how much will it rub,, like all the time,, will something like g-max or the pi kits be ok with a 40mm drop,, many thanks

wouldnt go g-max matey
Pi springs will be fine at 40mm mate.
It will rub when lowered unless you get archwork done.
Mine rubbed a fair bit at std height. Even with just me and a passenger.

how much archwork would it involve,, or would it be better 2 go for 15"

Rtec would want around £150 for archwork. So a fair bit.
DIY job isnt too bad, Scotts the best person to speak to about that.
15's, slammed would look sweet as though.

will it still look ok on 15",, wat abt hitting or grounding out on stuff,,
SaxoAL
19th October 2005, 03:52
will look fine.
No hitting/scrubbing/grounding/rubbing.
Unless you get absurdly wrong ofset.
The offset you want for saxo is ET18 or around, with a PCD of 4x108

lower struts do tend to hit the floor yes.
It might be worth getting a full suspension kit, stiffen it up a bit, limiting the 'lean' factor. Hopefully stop it from scrubbing bits.
