when i get to about 90mph the car feels really light and unstable.
Is there any other way of keeping it feeling stable and grippy without using a spoiler? (i dont like the look of them).

simple answer, dont go 90mph. other than that, try sorting the suspension and engine mounts out.

As said, dont go that fast as theres nowhere its legal.

Get it lowered and will help though

I know what you mean mate, whenever i get to around 90mph the car gets a bit unstable but having fitted a spoiler (not for stability purpose though) i can say it makes no difference. Im lowering it at the weekend though so ill let you know if that makes a difference. Which i expect it will!

cheers chris

all cars will feel "light" at that speed .... the steering at tht speed will be magnified......with the weight of a saxo its worse lol. suspension upgarades are your best bet

get some decent springs and dampers. and decent wheels and tyres and you should be sound matey.

Its going to sound strange.... but if one were to go for alloy wheels i.e. 15" aftermarket (approx 16.5kgs per corner) it should reduce the amount of oscillation when driving, and help to make the car feel more 'planted' particularly at higher speeds.
