water in footwell

hi i,ve got a problem with water coming in at the passenger side. going to strip the interior to try and see were it,s coming from has anyone else had this problem if so any pointers thanks.

yup i had it but it onli happend the night i brought the car...i dont know if my fidling around fixed it or it was just luck but it never leaked again...the water was leaking in through just under the dash...think it must have been a dodgy seal sumwhere

Could be the sunroof seal or could be the aerial base.

Prob. the sunroof though. There is a drain pipe that runs down the passenger window area i believe and that can get blocked and cause leaks.

This sounds odd but in my mates saxo he had water leaking from his rearview mirror we never actually found were it came from but it only come that once! it was very weird.

Its normally the sunroof seals, but can be the ariel aswel, theres a guide somewhere on here on re-sealing the sunroof.

ariel and sunroof are the usual suspects, if i give it sum round a right hand bend my drivers alarm ultrasonic fires water at me, its weird but kinda cool..........

Had same problem in my 106, Blocked drain holes in the sills from sunroof. My sills would then fill with water overnite in the rain, by so much that the water then comes through the rubber gromits in the sill and into the front and rear footwells. was in winter too, so sometimes had like an inch of ice in my footwell, right pain in the arse. Wat I did was drill 2 small holes in the underneath of the sill (front and back) on the side of where the water is. Had 6 litres come out:bored. hope this helps:y:
