a mate is buying a bike tomorrow but the reg isn't being detected on any of the hpi check sites databases.

I tried my previous bike and all the cars I know and they are all fine.

Has this ever happened to anyone or is there something wrong?

the website says to contact them for further info... hmmmm

Mmmmm should always register iirc........
Might be a fake reg to stop the car being cloned etc etc... ring them and ask tbh

Ive just tried hpicheck.com and it has detected the bike... strange.

no other site has detected it.

Yeah the smaller sites who offer it for a much less price can usually be wrong.

As already said hpi Site's can be a tad off, as once i run a check on a 1980 bike with a few mod's and it came back registered as Kerry Katona!

On a serious note alarm bell's would be ringing if some hpi's dont pick it up?

If it hadn't picked it up on one HPI, i'd question whether it's got the real plates on.

Are you getting them from a picture? or have you been told? The owner could have his 'spare' plates on when the picture was taken.

Sometimes it takes ages if there have been private plates on etc, that's what I've found.
