Good man, I'll be expecting a presidential suite when I check into Hell.
Back on topic- if you feel your sax isn't doing what you need in terms of long miles, then maybe chop it for something more frugal. Beemer's and 306 might be more plush, but you have to decide which one suits your personal needs instead of simply which one is nicer.
A beemer for example will cost more for parts, servicing, insurance etc.. may well offset the savings in economy.

if i could put a gti6 lump and box in the vtr i would keep it as i love the little shit but bmw is a lot nicer to drive(getting old and lux is growing on the importent list)

I had heard that the mpg can be low (mid 20's), so thats not exactly ideal for doing lots of miles. May as well keep your vtr.
Out of the three, my choice would be the 5 series diesel

May aswell keep the VTR
By the time you have spent money buying the BMW youd have probably spent what you probably wont save on fuel on it anyway lol
+ Gti -6 Will be worse then your R on fuel just has a 6 speed box which sounds good for fuel but isnt compared to the R
666
16th February 2009, 11:22
nice one jamie i see your point, looks like i will keep the r till the other half pass's her test then give it to her and buy the bmw
