I'm thinking of cuttnig out a massive hole at the top of my new bonnet and meshing it - weight saving and engine cooling ftw. F*ck the style junkies!

it will look fine aslong as you get the right one. as a saxo is a smallcar a scooby style vent would look silly, it was on a red citituning car a fe week ago on ebay and didnt look right.
i vent that was indented inwards and not a outer bulge would look good, i'll find a pic now

Also, was sat on the startline of the first stage of the Wyedean, and the amount of heat coming out was unbelieveable!

Id say if done properly it will look ok, anyway if it works who gives a fk what it looks like?
obviously you will make it as inconspicuous as possible lol

tbh everyone will think its just been stuck and serve no purpose and therefore it may look gash. i dunno though.

Wouldnt it look better and serve same purpose if you routed it to the grille?
Bought some morettes and routed it to a missing lens?
Routed it to the foglight hole?

Nowt wrong with them if they're done properly. I like the look of the Metro GTI ones tbh... could maybe get some off ebay and spray them the colour you're doing the wheels?

how about running a lower and deeper core radiator then use the whole grille area to duct air to your throttlebody.

On certain cars they serve an important purpose; ie cooling.
On cars that don't need it or set up to need one, i wouldnt bother imo.
williamsvts
16th February 2009, 19:20
air filter will be directly on throttle body though, so will serve a purpose.
not paying money for morrettes either, daylight robbery imo.
was thinking something small like a renault 19 16v vent???
williamsvts
16th February 2009, 19:28
