I think my belt is squeaking a bit pretty sure its tight enough can u use silicon spray on it to stop it squeaking will this do any harm or is it OK

does your only squeak in the cold n wet weather because thats when mine squeaks :( . i sprayed wd40 on mine, it worked for a while but nothing permanent

silicon spray is probarly better id thought because wd-40 would make it slip more or tighting it a little bit and see if that works

the dreaded vts squeak. Hopefully its just the belt slipping but the crank pulley what drives the belt is absolute crap and its a common fault for them to break and that gives the squeak when you start-up for a few seconds when its under alot of load

it tends to squeak more when u put lights on heater on, things like that the more u put on the more it squeaks when idling it doesn't squeak when driving
