this new warning light!?!

a new warning light has appeared on my screen its to the left of the airbag one
only lit up today
looiks kinda like a engine or sumthing and looks like it has a "k" shape in it.
any ideas whgat this is?:afro:

Engine Oil Warning?

Lights up orange? To the right of the left of the clock?

Flashes several times for like 30 seconds then goes off?

Means check the oil.

I put new dials in my car, it kept doing it. I removed bulb!

It's your M.I.L light (Malfunction indicator light). It means there is an engine management fault with your car.
Need a diagnostic plug in to asses the fault :D

Well at my garage its £35+Vat for a plug in and diagnose. Main dealers will charge well over that, some over £100!
Then its down to whatevers at fault! Any thing happening while the lights on??

the only thing ive changed is i put my painted mainfold cover on
and it has got hotpaint on it ...

It can come on anytime, its a sensor gone down in the engine management system. Could be anything!
As your not feeling anything different with the car i'd say its not major!
Just make sure when you take it to a garage they know what there doing. Best thing you can do is get it diagnosed.
