This message has just been passed on to the whole of my departmental team, what you reckon? redundancies?

Dear All

I am writing to confirm that we would like you to attend a meeting on Thursday 19 February at 5.00pm in room 3 at Cole Valley 1 to discuss a potential restructure, affecting yourselves.

The meeting will be conducted by myself and Jason.

You are entitled to be accompanied at the meeting by a colleague or trade union official.

Thing is, they may move the call centre i work in over to Romania because of the little pay compared to over here!

hmmm that sucks :( in that case then id suggest hitting the job centre, even if its something temporary, try and make sure you have something lined up, even if its job in a shop or sumthin, or even something similar to what your doing just now.... time of year is when most places start recruiting again, so u could be in luck, just get the CVs and stuff made up, and hope for the best :)

is it B2B or B2C as the It company i sometimes work for is recording massive profits, selling necessary security products to big business like microsoft, banks and lcl gvt...

however B2C is shit atm with the down turn in the economy, people just want to keep things till they die...

Yep, the thing thats annoyed most of my team is that the company is making a turnover of about 500million - 1billion a year.
Yet they still have to move our team to Romania, they are fucking jokers!

Our company makes a massive turnover too, but if they got rid of us they would put themselves in serious shit as we are a new finance team so it would cost them more to retrain etc and we have too much work as it is.

how long have u worked there, there is entitlements to being made redundant think its something like one weeks worth of wages for every years worth of wages.
