Hi guys,
First of all thanx to all that gave advice when i found out the headgasket had gone. i managed to get that sorted through my warrenty, and endid up paying £7 for a crate of lager for all the work : )

So then... now thats fixed i added a K&N and also replased the rocker gasket/rubber seal but now my car is sounding like a diesal, would any of what ive done cause this problem or am i looking at another engine problem with my car :'(

any advice or suggestions would be most helpful.

errrm i dont mean to sound dim but the whole engine. the exhaust sounds "bubbly" but when the clutch is in it sounds worse like there is a hole or a waterfall inside the cam area. but mostly the noise is coing from below on the opposite side to the cam belt.

take the induction kit off and see what happens. maybe your just hearing the induction noise.

sorry forgot to say yeh i checked that. took the kit off then put all standard back on and still sounded badif not worse so i put the kit back on. do you think it could just be because the car is 10 years old and done 85k or is it going to be somthing like the clutch is on the way out and therfore stuck between the last gear and neutral when ticking over. or....... do you think i should just get this checked at a garage, or will they just make me pay for things i dont need and the problem will still be there??? llooll sorry got carried away

wont effect ya clutch, but to check if it blowin get some one to rev the engine and look under ya car and listen or better still if it cold in the mornin look for mist coming from any blow holes
