A good place to start is to decide that you're not going to shit your pants. At the end of the day, an interview isn't a life or death situation. Look upon it as a two way interview. They are seeing if they like you and you're seeing if you like them.
You don't say what the job is so the only advice I can give is to think about what skills are needed and then have a think about the type of experience you've had that fits the role.
Have a good few questions ready and find out a bit about the company before you go.

Most questions go along the lines of why do you think you would be good for the job, and what made you choose this job.
Then pretty much stuff about past experience, so make sure u know what good things you have done to highlight when you talk about them

Yeah, I've been reading up like mad but just worried I'm gonna mess up lol.
It's a day assesment and has different stages with about 30 people. It's just the 1-1 I'm worried about in case they catch me off guard and I chat shit for 5 mins lol.

just take 10 seconds to think about what they have asked before you answer :)

as said above, ask questions, if you do that then they cant ask you any because they are too busy answering yours, and you are the one controlling the interview

Just relax and make the employer enjoy your company. I've got into most of my jobs simply through making small talk, or chatting about common interests etc. sometimes employers like to have someone who may not be as skilled as somebody else simply because theyre a better person to be around.
At the end of the day you normally spend pretty much the whole day in the company of work mates, so if you can't have a laugh with em....hardly makes work that fun.
hope thats sort of helpful (and makes sense lol) :y:

What is the role your applying for? Pretty key as questions will be tailored to it.
I have interviewed lots of folk and believe me I never ever try to catch someone out at the end of the day im interviewing to fill a position i need filled and by someone good not some who can bullshit me at the drop of a hat. I only ever try to catch out people who are cocky idiots and are blatently lying.
Key is remain calm. If you dont know how to answer a question sit back and take a second or twenty to think. Say exactly that "im just thinking for a second". It shows me your serious and want to forumlate a good response and that shows many good characteristics.
If you dont understand the question then say! Say t the interviewer are you asking me xxx? And they will clarify for you.
Most of all in an interview you should be confident. An interview is about telling how skilled you are, how good you are and no one knows this better than you. At the end of the day its an opportunity to big yourself up to some one.
Dont hide in the group sessions either. If your happy to take a lead then do so but be prepared to be challenged by others in the group who want to lead as well. But dont shrink in the corner and say nothing

over the past few interviews I have had, The questions have typically been like?
Why are you applying for this job?
What can you tell us about this company?
If you was in *a certain situation* How would you deal with it?
What have you done previously? (try to relate what you have done previously to this new job)
Always ask atleast 2 questions!, Even if they are ones you already know the answer to, Just clarify.
Walk in with a nice smile lol, Dont forget to shake hands at the beginning and the end.

At my last interview (I got the job) my boss told me that my CV did the talking and just wanted my account of what skills I could bring to the company and how I liked my previous jobs. I was honest and pretty much told him that I'd come straight out of school and wanted to work so I could be more hands on than dossing off my parents while in college etc. That I worked for a certain company for almost 5 years and loved it but was made redundant and just wanted to get back with a reputable company and work my way up.
I had questions ready but he pretty much covered everything I wanted to ask. All there was left for me to ask was about flexi time and what the earliest was that I could leave work if I accrued enough flexi time. My first week I left early on the Friday and he even suggested it!
60 people applied for my job and he pretty much bit my hand off lol. Was asked back for a second interview which was basically him asking when I could finish my previous job to start there and if he was to offer me the job then would I be happy to take it.
It's the job I've wanted for a very long time so when you get that all important interview which I'm sure yours is then you need to make sure that you don't mess up. Stay calm and if you can't appear calm then explain that you're a little over enthusiastic about the interview as it's something you've been waiting for, for quite a while. They will understand that and if you need to take a minute to think then they will appreciate it. Also, rule number one... when they aren't talking try to make sure you are as long as its relevant :y:

Be prepared for "tell me one interesting thing about yourself"
It's a question to see how you respond on the spot and how confident you are in yourself

See thats the kinda question's I'm worried about them asking me! lol.
It's a face to face customer role and at times a very stressful job so my friend that worked for them previously said they throw things at you to see how you cope under pressure (not literally btw lol)

make sure you research the company itself. When they ask you if you have any questions ask them ones that arae specific to the company. Will make you stand out.
