when i 1st started looking for a car i hated the lights on the mk 2 and loved the mk1 but the mk 2 is slowly growing on me :)

when i was looking for a saxo i found a perfect 1 only problem was had a mk2 front end so i actually went about looking how much it will cost for a mk1 conversion - ended up to much so i bought a standard mk1

mk1 looks slightly older but more meaner and aggresive

mk2 looks all curvy and girly :homme:

The Mk2 lights make such a difference to the looks, takes it from being a dated late 80s / early 90s car and and allows it to fit in bang up to date.

See shed loads of MK2's about- 4 on my street (sometimes) the last time I saw a mk1 (other than JP's under a blanket) was back at the start of Jan going to work.

The mk1 too me looks meaner and a mk1 looks alot better on track imo... however the mk2's styling doesn't seem to be ageing, that said- the youngest mk2 is only 5-6 years old.

All comes down really to which set of headlights look best and to be honest factory standard ones look crap on both cars.

Then it all depends on the car in question

Wouldnt change my Mk1 front end for the world, but if i had to PredatorVTR or LEE_VTR1 are my favourites for Mk2


Who cares at the end of the day for the sake of a few panels, the parts that matter (only real major change engine wise is with the VTR's) are largely the same
