Once again help is needed, my saxo has been running with main headlights for nearly 2 weeks, before one was working now both have stopped completely.

To night I went to change both blubs as I believed both had blown, WRONG!

Both the black clips which connect onto the blubs three connects have melted but not fully.

The front N/S head light clip as melted and one of the wires has come off and the front O/F one is still working but as soons as I put the new blub into the headlight casing it stops work due to wires in the being bent.

I know I will have to purchase new clips and start from fresh but were the hell do I buy them from?

Someone please help

It shouldn't be to pricey should it, its only a small connector?

it would be the cheapest, but you can try citroen or any other motor spares place may be able to get hold of them.

maybe the fuse you have got isn't a big enough amp. Are the clips anywhere near the manifold or something?

Id say they havve melted because they have been working on main beam for so long and theres that much power going through the connectors. The fault could be something to do with the lights control stalk on the steering column

Have u just got standard bulbs in? coz sum tyms with brighter upgraded bulbs they draw more current n tend 2 melt the clips! Those conectors can usually be found in any good motorist shop!

mate culd be overload so maby ur fuse is to high ampage leting to much current thru the connectors and so heat has built up bt then ther must be a short or sum fault for it to be pulling to much current

if you do have to high a wattage bulb that culd b y if you want to keep them you need to upsize the connectors fuse and wires
