Ok,
as some know i had a westy for my second car. and i absolutly loved it.
thats the reason im a member on this forum :y:
it was the best thing ever tbh, got myself an induction kit, smoked the lights, lowerd it, re sprayed the alloys black - it was so good.
anyway, got rear ended one night and it was a write off - i was blamed for the accident:clapping: even the fella that hit me doesnt understand and its still (2months) going thru the insurance companys, ive sent many letters explaining it clearly wasnt me but whatever, i lost 3 grand basicly and my car! :fcuk:
and i just cant get another saxo!
its impossilble! i want a furio, still a 1.4 (vtr/s are a joke to insure) and there mostly all shagged, if there not there too far away to buy and/or much over my price limit which is £1.500
mummy and daddy took me to citroen to see if they could help, tbh they couldnt, but its about £130/190 a month for a C2 VTR...
and i have the reasurance that it is new, will work, sunroof wont leak, it wont bend and mishape if i have an accident resulting in a write off...
the only problem is, all i really want to do is do what every other 18/19 yr old wants to do, mod it.
i really dont know what to do...
nothing is a saxo exept a saxo.
its something about them...but im so tempted to save money etc on a new C2

think about the insurance though... you are saying its gonna be silly priced insurance for the saxo vtr.....
but yet thinking about getting c2 vtr????
aint the insurance gonna rape you on that too?

no, thats the thing!
its a new car so its cheaper anyway, also saxos have ncap 2 and are associated with boy racers :bored:
insurance on the c2 is a lot cheaper. plus, the c2 version of the vtr is a 1.4
8v, and not 1.6 :homme:

very very nice... is that the 1.6??
how much to insure?
Boothy_UK
23rd February 2009, 18:13
no, its the 1.4 ;)
probly would have had the 1.6 manual but the things are very rare and as soon as i saw this furio i wanted it
insurance isnt bad at all!
on my own policy, 1 year driving, 1 ncb, £1278.98 :A: (fully comp aswell)
i have a manual by the way, as i said its very hard to find a decent "vtr" without semi automatic gears - also, there is a 1.4 VTR. Basicly - the furio is the mk1 and the VTR is the mark 2.
then there's the 1.6 16v vtr and vts which are both flappy paddles :zainy:

sick man... pics definatly..
Insurers are shit its usually about 3 - 4 months unless its clear cut arsehole they are..
p.s when i lived in france everyone paid 90 euros a year... a standard fee!!
Boothy_UK
24th February 2009, 18:47
indeed. its takin ages but worst of all, its like, im waiting on possible very bad news!
if they decide im at fault.
ugh. we'll just have to wait and see. i think ive given them a clear enough picture of what happend but theres nothing else i can do.
90 a year. ha! :drink: awesome.

yeh gets to a point when you just have to leave it and wait... it just killed me not being able to do anything about it when it happened to me...
when i crashed in france my policy went up by loadsssss... 3 euros a yr!! haha
had another crash on the arc de triumph round about, no insurance policy in the world is valid on that round about

i had a clear-cut insurance claim dragged out for almost 12 months by noel dazely insurance! first they took 2 months between every letter they sent me, then they "lost" lots of correspondence, topped all off by making insultingly low settlement offers even after i'd sent solid evidence the car was worth more!
so chin up, your situation with insurers could always be worse! :D :p
Boothy_UK
24th February 2009, 22:32
jesus they are nobs arnt they:geek:
not about that.
i like that tho, " 3 euros a year" more :y: quality.
and yep, its horrible just waiting with this thing pending all the time :wall:
take it you crashed you sax cheshire?
J x
vtr_cheshire
25th February 2009, 00:12
aye, crashed my saxo in cumbria seeing family,
crashed my punto infrance and a little shitty metro on the triumph... its so much fun crashing on that roundabout, they say if you drive round it 20 times with out crashing your on borrowed time!!
it is horrible but chin up, it only really affects you first year, then you get a fresh ncb
any idea on the C2 if it is judged your fault??
cant wait to see it i fucking love em

are you paying it monthly? dont like to be nosy but how much a month?
seems intresting...
Boothy_UK
25th February 2009, 16:33
yes. i cant wait also. might have to stick a progress thread up, maybe more and more people will sway to c2's with me :y:
all lonely on the c2sports club forum - its crap compared to sax-p:hug:
as for mothly payments, im not. i just bought the car, but i WAS going to pay monthly and i can tell you that over a 3 year deal you would be paying around £100 a month on a furio.
maybe a little more depending on the actual car if its not 2nd hand but seeing as they dont make furios anymore, that just wont happen. so its not expensive at all imo :y:
if your interested check them out ( id advise not going directly to citroen themselfs as they were no help at all)
but theres a few deals available like, 2 year deals, 3, 4 etc etc.
its all good :y:
