Am i lagging???

Recently bought a wireless router which is setup all fine. Tonight ive gone to play cod5 and its impossible to control my player, i dont seem to be moving in the right direction and the controls are all fukt up!!! Im either lagging really bad or somethings interupting signal between controller and ps3 - i think! i am downloaded a movie on pc upstairs but i have 100% signal strength downstairs on ps3. am i lagging coz of downloading... or cud it b sumfin else?

also when i start a match i get this flashing icon thing in middle of screen - cant make out what its supposed to be... then i lose connection to server!!! ARGHHH!!!!!!!!!!!

downloading a film while online isnt the best of ideas

Yeah Graeme is right. You should never download any files while playing games online. You've got to allow full space for downloads and uploads from the game server to your connection be free. Otherwise your downloads will take some/most of your connection thus limiting playability.

exactly right dont download while playing because computer will just take most of the internet

it can also lag aswell depending on the host the computer picks

i find playing the yanks late at night my connection is lower than in the day against uk people

theres nothing that can be done about this though
