did u have a flat battery at all m8, i was thinking that cos the battery was nearly flat the car wouldnt lock incase it didnt have enuff power to unlock it, mite be wrong but it sounds plausible lol

Another cause of this is the central locking solonoid.
if its to tight on the mechanism it will cause the doors to not lock.
check the solonoid is set up correct position.

have you just cut the door pins off or removed them properly? If you cut them off the wire could be jamming the locking mechanism, make sure its pointing up & not dangleing down.

when i changed my lock mechanism my door pins came loose and fell off completely so i just left it as it was (with no door pins), i reckon my connecting rods bent or tight as i think iv put it in the wrng way, as in ive put it behind the electric window cable rathr than in front, can any1 clarify this.
