Well... i think i get the title of cock up of the year.

Just brought my self a saxo furio.

Got quotes on it yesterday for like... £1000 on provisional from quinn direct.

I was thinking that when i pass, it wont go up too much.

Just changed it to full license and they want over £5000.

Im 17... first car.

I guess a furio wasnt the best choice :s

Any ideas on cheaper companies? Ive tried a few... all been about same.

Also, on quinns, when i took my mum off mine it made it cheaper aswell. Im sure its meant to make it cheaper if shes on it?

Anyways thought ide share this with you.

i nearly made that mistake, u paying monthly or annually, if monthly just cancel ur insurance wen u get FULL DL and go with a different company, they do it to lure you in. Bell are good

Im getting my saxo dropped of on monday so insuring it then and going out some with my mum lol (y)

Just seen a thread i made a while back saying that i found full comp on a furio for £1300 ish from elephant. I tried them earlier and got £2970 on provisional lol.

Have to have a play around tomoz when there database is back up.

Cheapest so far is chruchill £2027.30 full comp, full license etc.

could you not keep it on a provisional for a year until you have 1 years no claims then change it to a full licence.lol im sure it does it automaticly any way as i didnt have to change mine when i passed

oh and btw dont go with elephant it took them 6 weeks to give me a settlement for fire. they are the shittest insurance company ive ever dealt with.

Most of the insurance data bases are down till tomoz so have to have a big hunting sesh then.

I havent brought my insurance yet. I was just saying i had a full license to test the prices :)
