have you been qualified for less than two years?
If so, you are so, so, so screwed.

You have to be driving 2 and a half years iirc. ?
6 points > ban > unlucky mofo
Barry123
2nd March 2009, 15:18
then you're screwed if you get another 3 points within the proceeding year.
the points will indeed stay and remain 3point penalties for the 3 years but your probation will cease after another year and which point your points limit will be raised from 6 to 12

if you get 6 points within the first 2 years of passing your test, you get a ban, and you have to re-take your tests.
so basically you have 3 points to spare for the next year
otherwise

As i understand it if youve been driving less then 2 years and you get 6 or more points within that 2 years your banned, then after 2 years your alloud 12 points?
And then you get 3 points taken off every 3 years youve been driving with a clean sheet?
This correct?
Prickle
2nd March 2009, 15:22
Yeah. banned*
Im sure they stay for 4 years, but are off technically. ?

Erm... you get a motoring conviction so that would have to be declared on insurance and then you get the grand insurance bumming we all love.

Pretty much... In a perfect world it could be done that quick. Thruth of the matter is most of us wouldn't pass a driving test again tommorow, too many bad habits e.g. not push pull steering.
I saw some fucker push pull sterring in an RS4 taking 2 years to do a 3 point turn.
Steve1255

I think i stopped push pulling the same day i pashed hehe......just makes life difficult...

Exactly dude... exactly...
Subtle habits like that is why most of us wouldn't pass our tests again. I think i'd fail on manaveurs. My way is better! the test is flawed, i bet them instructors can't parrelel parks in 8 seconds!

Fair does fella. I no a lad that had to completely learn how to drive again. He took another 6 lessons, as for me...
No points, 1 None fault claim on file... insurance is a dream and police have even stopped pulling me over now... (Filed harrassment case as was pulled over 12 times in 3 months by 2 officers that were usually seen together) Think they just liked causing me the inconvinience of producing. Shouldn't really have called them ignorant failures..

Im abit of a wanker but not for this point. I speed when its appropriate and never excessively been driving for 3, nearly 4 years and only usually speed on motorways, about 85 and sometimes on A roads witch are wide enough and safe enough. Never been caught, wouldn't argue if i was as i'd deserve it. Each to their own i suppose.
