right this might the take a while, im currently working for biggest HGV company in europe DAF, im a truck mechanic an have been since i left school 5 yrs ago, i finished my aprenticship about 1yr ago now and the money still isnt great £8.50 an hr, now, my friend is a head supervisor at the local bus garage (Arriva) an they have offered me a job at over £10.00 an hr to start of with this would go up to 11 within 3 mounths, also its closer than where i work now, i can walk to the bus garage but takes 20mins in the car to where im at now. in theory the only thing holding me back is because ive not worked on buses before, but under everything it is a truck i spose, obv the move would be for the money as im tryin to get on the housing market and got a baby on the way........i just need some advise.....im in limbo hahaha sorry for the essay. cheers mike x

If you got a baby on the way and want to get yourself a house then more money is a must really. Also think about it, would u actually be losing anything if u was to take the job offer and ditch your current job, by the sounds of it the answer would be no.

Most people only work for the money.
Unless you really (and I mean REALLY) enjoy your current job then go for it

Sound's basically the same as what you're doing atm mate just on buses which can't be that different, plus more money. Seem's the sensible and practical option tbh mate.
