handbrake light

my saxo has jus started to flash the handbrake light on and off wen im driving it flashes all the time what could this be?

might be low on brake fluid. thats what happened in our lasses focus. just toped it up to the line. hopefully it will be that simple. if its not that it could be ya back brakes or shoes are worn down.
