Saxo concept ideas

Im right into drawing and photoshopping concepts at the mo, most people know im quite good with the old pen and paper.
Im on here to get some views on what you people would want from a concept saxo? And ill try and incorproate it in the design.

So if citroen were to realease a 2009 saxo, what would you want on it? What styling should be taken from the original? Should there still be a 16V 1.6 or should it be upped? All things like these is what im looking for. Its just a little project for me to get back into the drawing habbit. If it goes well ill get the design shopped and printed and take it to fcs and show it on here.

I think if they were to bring out a 2009 Saxo, 1.6 16v wouldn't be enough as the car wouldn't have the advantage of lightness that it's predecessors had. So I say a 2.0 16v VTS version. It should also not fall into the trap of looking like every other hot hatch on the market atm :y:

Smooth(ish) and not many plastic bits stuck on the body
No sunroof
Short ariel and moved to the back

They called it the C2 and it replaced the sax :P

If they did make a new Sax it would be good though, but then the 182 is basically a glorified saxo lol

NCAP rating above 2 ;). Tbh though mate i reckon a 2litre 16v. Close as possible to 200bhp. 16 inch wheels as standard, would kinda like it to look like a bigger more modern version of the mk2, as said as well projector lights with bi-xenons. some other things what i cant think of tbh.

I think just a more modern version of the original.... but bigger - like a 306-307 size.

Yeah I agree tbh.

I personally wouldn't want to see a saxo mk3. I like the feeling of driving a car that I know is no longer in production :) if a new saxo came out I'd be depressed that my car was officially an "older model".

nah i dont think it should be made bigger cos it dont look good. saxo's look good cause there wee and low to the ground. i think maybe a different vt kit and different front end. the 2.0 idea sounded good aswell and they should do like a limited edition with like an optional rollcage and carbon fibre bits ( like the megane r26r )

Mk2 saxo's were a facelift, not an actual new car.

Yeah that's why I said it would need a huge engine upgrade because it would have to be about 100x heavier than the mk1 and 2's :P

That's not really true. The new twingo sport and mk7 fiesta's aren't that heavy.

I hate Twingos. When I was in Paris in 2004 there was hundreds of old school twingos. I loved them cus of the name and the fact I'd never seen one in the UK. The new twingo looks like they took a clio and squished it inwards.

Should have arches like simo's not the old plastic fantastic things, rear end should be re designed a little, and the front end should be more aggressive like the mk1 :) some kind of deffuser like on the new clio sports, some decent wheels, and some fancy bits
