personally i can't decide if i love them or hate them. But they do look mean.
and if they can beat a 2.0 litre Golf GTI, they have to be pretty special

Evo magazine done a fantastic review of them (as they always do)
they alos done a comparison with the focus rs and the rs pee'd all over the vxr.
they also did a group test with the golf gti and teh megane 225, i think the gold came out on top overall but i could be wrong given i have been up since 6:30 and never went to bed til 2 last nightsmileys/smiley17.gif

i've seen them at the btcc stand since they were released, they were there last year as well promoting them before their release.
i love the monaro and the astra does look good. but i'd still be tempted to go with a golf gti
EDIT: oh and the astra has problems putting the power done if i remember the top gear test. they've got so much power going through the front wheels it struggles for traction

If I remember correctly

i think the handling was ok but could of been better, couple that with the power not getting down on the tarmac properly and it was a bit twitchy

is it understeer or overster that send it off in one direction when u put the power on?
cant remember but the astra had it!
this did beat the golf in a straight line i believe but it wasnt supposed to have handled aswell
isnt the corsa vxr a 1.6 turbo runnin at 180bhp?

Something like that yes, think its going to cost around the 15k mark if they put it into production, i dont think my mum would get rid of her car though as she has paid off the finance on it, its an 02 reg with around 20k miles on it, my dad tried persuading her to get the astra sport but she wasnt having any of it, i think she likes her small engined cars as they are good on petrol & cheap on insurance even though she only drives it to work & back & when she goes shopping.

Here (http://www.channel4.com/4car/gallery/spyshots-2005/V/vauxhall/corsa-vxr_page_4.html) you go, the so called pictures of the new corsa vxr, i think its the stickers that make it look horrible, but atleast morrette wont have to design some rear lights for it

saxx: understeer is where the car can't turn the corner when under acceleration or anything! it casues the car to have to steer more to get the car to turn
oversteer is the opposite. turn too much in a bend and the back end will kick out sideways!
oz_borne: i say love it...thats a sweet looking car

i think "saxx" was talking about Torque steer... when a car with alot of torque puts its power on and steers to the left or right...
