my big brother was bale to fit 17's smileys/smiley17.gif on his saxo but im wondering if I can get bigger I know it might need some extra work because he need the wheel arches changed.

Yes its possible to fit bigger wheels than 17's and again more work is needed to fit them on standard arches. Personally I wouldnt bother as drivability and handling will be shocking.

There is a Saxo in the UK on 20" wheels, so yeah you can go bigger than 17s
