What goes on first?

I bought some AutoGlym super resin polish and back to black stuff.

Should I:

1- Tape up the trims and bumper apply polish (buff off etc) then take off tape and apply back to black stuff?

Or

2- Treat all trims and bumpers with back to black then tape up and polish the car afterwards?

I allways find i get the back to blak stuff all over the paint work when doing it do i personaly would apply that first, then the polish...

After you have applied it, leave it for abit then giv it a swipe over to get the excess off :y:

The only thing I'm not sure about is if the tape will stick to the plastics after they've been treated.

hmmm fair point actually, io think pred done the polishing first when he done his detail...

I'll be using some of that blue detailing tape if that makes any difference?

never used it myself but i no pred used that to tape off the black stuff when he done his detail, but i could not say for sure if he done bumpers before or after.....

Maybe test a little bit and see if it sticks or not?

Yeah I'll do some trials before I start.

when i did the bumpers first then used the polish it took some of the black off so just give it a try.
If you find a good way please share how you did

I would do the bumpers first but if you are careful enough you wont need to tape anything up :y:
