Do it sooner rather than later or they'll just turn around and say,
How do we know you didn't do it?
Had the same issue with an insurance Job/Buckled alloy

go and complain, garages are shit, i keep saying it lol they are meant to put rubber pads on the clamps, but they dont do it to save them all of 20 seconds, complain, and just remember in future, always ask the place are the prepared to pay for any damage, if they say no then dont use them

yeh it shouldnt have done that if they were powdercoated and the tyres taken off the rim when they were re sprayed. when i had a tyre changed the bloke said theres a chance of the rim flaking, because i refurbed them myself with spray cans with the tyre still on, so that was understandable, but even then only a tiny bit flaked. theres no harm in complaining to them and see what you get out of it!
