it only to learn in and not got much to spend so not really boved at the moment i just want car car to drive but get a saxo later do up and most probly the would of gone down time iv passed

lol, all this slating. I had a Ford Ka as my first car- my dad got it for me when I passed and I had no say in the matter. Yes its got a bit of a "College girl" reputation but tbh, they're very good little drivers' cars, great handling, good gearchange, long-wheel base means they're actually very stable on the road, better built than a Saxo too (I got a VTS next), and very reliable. I modded it with 15s and lowering springs and tbh not much could keep up with me round corners. Brakes were crap though lol, really spongy feel to them.

Just use it to build a NCB and experience mate, they're not the most fashionable things about but handle pretty well.

spot on mate i had one aswell. really easy to drive so a great car to learn in. nice light steering (with pas) and smooth precise gearbox. was impressed with the handling even when standard. very reliable chain driven engine. had my tappets done once, cost me £20 and it was quiet after that. just do regular oil changes to keep it that way. good value for money too. can get a nicely specced example for not much money

mine was a black ka2. lowered it 35mm on 15inch multispokes. smoked lights/side repeaters, sportka spoiler, debadged all round, dtm mirrors, fully colour coded. custom fitted a rev counter cos it didn't have one standard. k&n induction kit and janspeed full stainless. it sounded surprisingly good. one of the best sounding cars ive had in fact

Very nice! Yep mine was also black, lowered 35mm on PI springs, 15 inch multispokes although in anthracite. Had a custom zorst built and it popped and banged, was quality. Was a noisy little hog, but I couldn't help loving it, just such a laugh to nip about in. For a beginner they fit the bill perfectly.
