Right ive got a bit of confusion going on in my head and would like your opinions. What ever happens im set on a VTS weather it a conversion or a new car! Also been talking to Will at Carworx and am planning on going down the turbo route.

The debate ive got is -

1. Sell my car and buy a VTS. Its been on sale for a few weeks now on net ect.. But for how much ive allready spent on the car im goign to be losing over 2k smileys/sad.gif (Thats if i get what i want for it) If i sell up the next car will be very subtle and 'street sleaper' style.

2. Keep Car. Problem is im gona spend even more money on it with changing a few bits to 'freshen' it up, Vts conversion and uprated components, and then later on Turbo conversion! If i keep it then its allready got a Dimma bodykit on which cost over 1k so cant really change that. But dont know if thats the sorta style i want to go for any more.

Hmm dont really know what to go for! Whats your thoughts on the matter??

starkie! listen in!

keep ur sax! convert the engine! then boost the lil lady!

the style can be changed easily, bumper from a scrappy etc & fitted & sprayed (savin cash) you can then have the Dimma kit to sell on or keep...

you know exactly where your sax has been & wot shes like... the next may not be so well behaved/lookd after!

also you then have two engines 1 to keep or sell....!

IMO id keep her & sell parts if you need to to help fund things! smileys/smiley14.gif

Personally I would sell it, and start a fresh. Although as westy said it wouldnt be that hard or expensive to change a few bits. smileys/smiley2.gif

Well I was in the same situation mate.

I had my VTR and wanted to stick a VTS lump in it but the insurance company prevented me from doing so. I then bought a VTS and they were fine, which I thought was quite strange.

Now, I also spent a little bit on modifying my old car, but now I have the VTS, I haven't looked back. When you are into the car modifying business, you will ALWAYS loose money. Some people loose more than others. I bought my VTR for £6k and then about a year and half later, I only managed to sell it for £3,500. It wasn't very nice but I had to move on.

If I was you, I would sell the car for as much as you can and then start afresh. Start on a new virgin VTS. Ummm... don't those words just sound sooo good together? smileys/smiley2.gif

But remember, be prepared to loose money whatever you decide.

You would get more interest in the car if it was pretty much put back to standard. Try and sell as many parts as you can separately so at least that way you will not be loosing out on AS much.

as i said to you on msn mate, i no you said last night you couldnt be bothered with the hassle of doing it, but it might be easier to put your car back to standard (or as close as you can get it), sell on all the bits for it and then if your gonna get a vts, you could try part exchanging your furio for a vts at a dealership as this will discount the price slightly of the vts plus it gets rid of yours at the same time. you will most likely not get what you want for it, but you can always haggle with them! smileys/boxing.gif

and like you have said about the problem with your exhaust, you could either put the standard one back on andsell the exhaust, or just cut the standard rear bumper (if it requires to be cut) so that the exhauust fits that. also helps that you know people who work for a local citroen garage as they maybe able to source 2nd hand parts easier and prob cheaper aswell

at the end of the day mate, is your decision
