Why a 20D? There isn't much difference between a 20D and a 350D. Better spend the money on a better lens (preferably an "L" lens) as that's more important than the difference in camera's.

Here's some random examples I took with my 350D. Lenses used for these pics: Canon EF-S 18-55/3.5-5.6, Canon EF 55-200/4,5-5,6 II USM, Canon EF 50/1.8 II and a Raynox macro converter. For the close up pics I used an external flash aswell.

BTW Fireworks are illegal over here... except for the last 3 days of the year. smileys/smiley13.gif
So that's the only time I have the chance of taking pics of fireworks.

I thought you had a 20D?

The 350D is about £300 cheaper too... Hmmm...

Nope, a 350D. Just the prices over here are the same as a 20D in the UK smileys/smiley2.gif

Look here (http://www.dpreview.com/reviews/compare_post.asp?method=sidebyside&cameras=canon_eos20d%2Ccanon_eos350d&show=all) for the differences between a 350D and a 20D, but trust me, you won't notice the difference.

I've got mine with the kitlens (18-55) and a 55-200 zoomlens, which is quite a good lens. Is you want a superb zoomlens, get a 70-200 L.
A 350D+70-200L lens gets you better pics then a 20D with a cheaper lens.
I also got a 50mm/1.8 lens which is must have. The cheapest canon lens, no zoom, but superb quality (because it's a prime) and you can take pics with very little light (because it's a 1.8).
I also have a big fuck off tripod (good for those fireworks pics) and a external flash which rocks for indoor pics.
Also get a battery grip. I've got one and it gives more ballance if you fit a zoomlens. It also takes two batteries and they last very very long.

What kind of pics do you want to take?
Mostly wide angle, mostly zoom or both and following that: do you want an average wide lens and a superb zoom lens, or the other way around, or both, or two good lenses, etc. etc.
Give me info and I'll give you a few options smileys/smiley14.gif

hehe well whilst we are on the subject - heres the fireworks code kiddies lol (for adults btw smileys/smiley17.gif )

1, Plan your firework display to make it safe and enjoyable.
2, Keep fireworks in a closed box and use them one at a time.
3,Read and follow the instructions on each firework using a torch if necessary.
4, Light the firework at arm's length with a taper and stand well back.
5, Keep naked flames, including cigarettes, away from fireworks.
6, Never return to a firework once it has been lit.
7,Don't put fireworks in pockets and never throw them.
8,Direct any rocket fireworks well away from spectators.
9,Never use paraffin or petrol on a bonfire.
10,Make sure that the fire is out and surroundings are made safe before leaving.

Be safe! </font> smileys/smiley17.gif
