if i pass my test on thursday i want insurance on my papas saxo for 4 days while im at my other house.. but im 17 year old, can any1 tell me somewhere i could get insurance from, even if it was for 3 days it would be ok

ring your insurance company and ask them, or ask to be put on your mums policy for a few days

good luck finding it for being under 21. alot of places are wankers like that.
can you not get put on parents insurance ? then have a years worth on there, shouldnt be too much.

have to be over 21 with 3 years driving to get temporary cover usually

ive heard of people who did it at the age of 17 but it cost quite alot. so if i asked my mum to try and get me on her insurance for a week it would work ?

You can't have temporary insurance until your 23.

i have sone this lods and the named driver is not 21.
were with norwich union.
we have done this twice now so its possible. but id say you need to have an existing policy to do it

it cost me only something like a tenner for a week on a VTR
i done this last year to go to FCS

Since when? I did this alot last year when I was 17. Got put on my dads VECTRA for a fortnight at a time. Cost ROUGHLY £15/day.

yeh you can get put on insurance for a few days ive had it done before its onliy if you want your own policy for a few days then you have to be 21

not many will put you on for a few days mate, u will have to pay for the whole month, which will affect the preiumum overall, simple answer, just wait.

av got a saxo vtr. needs sprayed and a new power steering pump so im wanting to spin about in my mums car or sumfin for a few days while am off work lol

I usually get covered on my sisters car, she is with bell and it costs me £30 per week. Im 17 and passed in aug. Did this recently also.

It's only for provisional holders, I went on for a month on my mams megane before I passed.

im sure norwich union give a quote with a weeks free insurance, my mate used it when he bought a car once

I was using it frequently until just after christmas, went to get a weekend one day and it said i had to be over 23. On Dayinsure. I tried a few others and found the same problem.
The key word in my post was RECENTLY.
